@hypedrive: @rmsothebys just auctioned off this picturesque @Porsche 959 Komfort for a cool $1.7 million USD. ⁠

The Porsche 959 was heralded as a technological marvel, with features that were advanced for the time: its all-wheel-drive system, adjustable suspension and monstrous power. The model was also sold as a "Komfort" trim, that included a full-leather interior as well as air conditioning, while maintaining the 959's 444 horsepower and 2.85L twin-turbo flat-six. ⁠

The 1988 Porsche 959 Komfort has 23,399 kilometers – 14,540 miles approximated – and is in fantastic condition, with some patina and signs of age that shows the car has actually spent some time on the streets. This auctioned example is purportedly one of only 31 examples painted in Graphite Metallic, and out of 292 production homologated units ever produced. ⁠

As a result, it sold for $1,765,000 USD at the RM Sotheby's auction that happened in Las Vegas last week. ⁠
