At the 37th Annual @Footwearnews Achievement Awards, adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden shared a warning to the people from Nike in attendance as he accepted 'Shoe of the Year' for the adidas Samba.
"To the Nike people in the room, watch out. We have a lot in the pipeline...not a joke," said Gulden.
Gulden joined the Three Stripes in January after serving as PUMA's CEO. He's previously been vocal about shifting the company's focus onto its heritage products, leaving behind projects like the lucrative and influential YEEZY business.
@adidas Originals continues to draw in new audiences by reissuing decades-old designs. The brand's performance offerings–in particular running products–have also seen widespread success. @fearofgodathletics by Jerry Lorenzo will surely be important to the brand, too.
