After a hiatus of a year and two months since the conclusion of SBS′ You Who Came From the Stars in February of 2014, Kim Soo Hyun is returning to the small screen.
On February 9, Kim Soo Hyun confirmed his appearance in the new KBS variety drama, Producer (tentative), according to affiliates.
After being in the news as the first strong candidate for the drama, Kim Soo Hyun met with staff on this day and fine-tuned details, being the last one to confirm the lead role.
With this, Producer will have a strong team consisted of Cha Tae Hyun, Kong Hyo Jin, Kim Soo Hyun and IU.
Writer Park Ji Eun, who is most famous for Queen of the Housewives, You Who Came From the Stars, and Unexpected You, and chief producer Seo Soo Min of Gag Concert and 1 Night 2 Days will be teaming up for Producer. The new drama is also gathering much attention for its star-studded cast.

Producers is about PDs in the variety sector of a broadcast station. Cha Tae Hyun and Kong Hyo Jin will act as PDs who have 10 years of experience, while Kim Soo Hyun will play the role of a rookie PD and IU will act as a top singer.
