Shares of KeyEast Entertainment, a management company representing a host of famous actors including Kim Soo-hyun, jumped 14.93 percent Tuesday after a report said the company was considering expanding into the cosmetics market.
A senior official with the company told a local media outlet that negotiations were underway between the entertainment agency and various companies ranging from cosmetics manufacturers to packaging firms and that the agency is reviewing ways to branch into the new field.
If the company enters into the cosmetics market, Beijing-based online shopping mall Panda Korea will reportedly serve as its major sales platform, as the entertainment agency is likely to aim at the Chinese cosmetics market, which is expected to be highly lucrative.

KeyEast, established by celebrated actor Bae Yong-joon, is the second-largest shareholder of Panda Korea, owning 37 percent of the company.
