Actress Gong Hyo-jin was cast to play the role of Tak ye-jin, the temperamental producer of KBS’s renowned music program ‘Music Bank’. “I really liked the script,” said Gong. “I finished reading the script in one sitting. I am just a big fan of Screenwriter Park Ji-eun and her lines and wit. I was the third cast member to accept the role, after Cha Tae-hyun and IU. I thought, ‘hey, this drama would be great!’ I also liked the fact that ‘The Producers’ has 12 episodes and it will air for about a month and a half,” said the 35-year-old actress who is also known as a fashionista.

In the show, Tak berates new or junior employees. “Ye-jin gives them a hard time with my straightforwardness and strictness. Especially, Baek Seung-chan(played by Kim Soo-hyun), a book-smart rookie producer who is yet clumsy and clueless, is my biggest victim. Believe me, I’m not that kind of a person. I think Ye-jin is the most neurotic role I’ve ever taken on. It’s not easy for me. But I’ve got to admit that it’s kind of fun,” smiled the actress who showed romantic chemistry on her recent drama ‘It’s Okay, That’s Love’ with Jo In-sung. “You should not go to China, Hyo-jin. There are his everywhere,” Cha Tae-hyun made everyone burst into laughter.

The question asking whether she likes to watch entertainment shows followed. “Oh, yes. I love watching child-care TV shows. I would like to star in those reality shows like ‘Infinite Challenge’ where cast members become so close like families. Someday I would like to do a fashion program too, if there’s any chance given to me,” she said.
