Kevin, Summer ‘87. Today we have a little teen boy beefcake on the menu: an edge-of-seventeen, Silent-Bob-to-Be! Look at me, all stretched out on my girlfriend’s parents’ couch like I own the place, man-spreading as if I’m riding the subway. Dressed in a Bullwinkle t-shirt and swim trunks, I’m watching a rental VHS from the old Video Movie House in Atlantic Highlands. One day this boy would grow up to be a man - a man who still wears novelty t-shirts and shorts all the time while buried in movies.
