We ventured out today to cut down our Christmas tree, and her absence in the backseat was a steady pressure against my sorest parts. Don't get me wrong—I welcome the season's embrace. I'm not avoiding any of it. I'm hugging back tight. But I can't post glimpses into these festive moments without sharing, honestly, just how tender they feel.
