We will never know the fear, loss, betrayal and injustice that Black, Indigenous and POC know, far too well. George Floyd should be alive today. Until this week I didn’t know it wasn’t enough to “not be racist”. Im here to say I am actively anti-racist and I want to encourage you to do the same. If you don’t discuss racism with your friends and family (like me) it’s time to start. If you don’t know where you stand, figure it out and voice it fiercely. What a privilege to HAVE a voice that can be HEARD. And what an atrocity that the colour of your skin can determine otherwise. Both prejudice and privilege run much deeper than we think. Everyone deserves freedom and peace. This is not debatable. Thank you to those educating on the internet right now, please see my story highlights for some of those resources and calls to action.
