To my fellow white/white passing Australians and anyone reading this who is not BIPOC.. The only time we should be opening our mouths right now is to:
-communicate solidarity
-communicate urgency for change
-communicate disapproval of racism
Opinions are not needed at this time. IN FACT; try not to repeat anything you’ve ever said or thought on matters or race, rights, protests, riots, brutality.
In order to be anti-racist, you must stop defending your ego and your privilege; when you need to be defending the rights and literal lives of Black and Indigenous folk! Something we will never have to worry about doing for ourselves.
