Always keeping an eye on proceedings. Yes lions can sleep up to 20 hours a day but it’s in fits and starts and like most predators that eat large amounts in one sitting, they happily head off for a snooze after a big meal, but that doesn’t mean they’re not situationally aware. Just in case you get any ideas about sneaking up on a sleeping lion 🦁
