I went to visit a furniture manufacturer called Karimoku @karimoku_official . Their incredibly large scale, as well as the unexpected amount of digitalization involved, took me by surprise. The woodworking aspect of their practice was within my expectations, but the expansive scale of the sewing department and their attention to detail was on a whole different level. They were scanning a mesh and precisely cutting the fabric according to the mesh pattern, and they had digital markers for the cowhide condition check. Their pursuit of perfection was at an almost incomprehensible level that I was absolutely shocked. Vice President Hiroshi Kato, thank you so much for making all the arrangements. It ended up being an eight-hour-long visit.

カリモク　@karimoku_official と言う家具屋さんに見学に行きました。あまりにも大きなスケール、意外なデジタライズ化に驚きました。木工の部分は想定内でありましたが、縫製部のスケール感、そしてディテールへのこだわりが半端なく、網目をスキャンして網目通りに裁断するとか、牛皮のコンディションチェックのマーカーごデジタルであるとか、どーなっちゃってるの？レベルの追求で強烈なショックを受けました。加藤洋副社長様、いろいろご手配、ありがとうございました。気づけば8時間もの見学会でした。
