Today’s the day I host this year’s @illy_coffee International Coffee Awards where 9 of the best coffees are selected from the most sustainable coffee farms around the world 🌱

Sustainable coffee beans are grown in a way that is kind to the people and the environment which means using less water, replacing the land's natural nutrients by spreading organic matter (like composted coffee pulp) under and in between coffee trees, using renewable resources when possible and so much more. These sustainable practices are important because it ensures workers are fairly compensated, and a sustainable farm gives back as much to the land and people as it receives.

It was a joy to reward illy’s most sustainable growers. Coffee + Sustainability = perfect day ☕ 😍
