Opened in 1904 and the busiest station is 42nd St. There is a ton of info I found and if you’re interested is worth the read. One other thing that caught my eye is that it was like an event to ride the subway back then...now, it’s just to get to and from destinations. Found some great black and white pics of the entrances with different light fixtures. ✨ Its really fun doing some research on old NY and aside from the history, I’m loving seeing the pics.
