If you’ve cycled down to Marina Bay from East Coast Park recently, you may have noticed this large oval structure as you approached the Marina Bay golf course.⠀ ⠀ The plant can produce 30 million gallons of potable water per day. It is also our first plant that can treat both seawater and freshwater. When there’s enough rain, the plant will draw fresh water from Marina Reservoir, which takes less energy than treating seawater.⠀ ⠀ The KMEDP strengthens our water security and contributes to a sustainable future for Singapore, especially in the face of climate change.
