it’s been an intense emotional week. my heart is breaking for the people of Ukraine and every day the news is heavy on my heart. in my small life with my small troubles, been wrangling with old ghosts of fear + self doubt as I return to a world I used to live in as a woman changed from the inside out. my voice is different, my body is foreign, my shape changed, my soul is cracked open, the world is heavy heavy heavy heavy but punctuated with bright star moments of heart-rending compassion and unity and it’s hard to reconcile any of it. just sitting on a chair that I can’t currently get out of watching my baby crawl around, cherishing the quiet of a tiny moment and having a space between big feelings to breathe and - couldn’t finish that sentence because I had to chase after my kid. Hahaha I have no idea what I was going to say. Yeah. It’s gone. Sending love from our family to yours anyways. hope you are doing ok in these rough old times and finding some time to breathe between feelings x x x
