I’m not talking about war in Ukraine, because that is an absolute atrocity. I’m talking about the attitude in my homeland of the great and fearless 🇷🇺 - no, I’m not mocking it, that’s the actual attitude. Questioning, having a different view, disagreeing, wanting more information, even having the same opinion but phrasing it differently is met with an explosion of anger and hate so fierce, so personal, that use of threats, insults, degrading language, wishing ill to me and my loved ones is completely warranted in the minds of my fellow Russians (again - not all, if you don’t experience a deep need to smack me at this point, you don’t have to write ‘not all Russians support Putin’, I’m Russin, I don’t support Putin - I am aware. If something doesn’t apply to you, this is not an attack - no need to react. Write smth informative instead, or smth kind or wishful). Onto the good stuff - the amount of ‘you are *some or other adjective for my apparent idiocy* go put some underwear on and show some ass’ (but a lot less polite) was the most popular comment (technically no, but I’m not ready to do THAT to myself just yet). Sure, it hurts that this might be all I’m good for, but at least I am not a hateful drone - before @instagram perishes from my home country - some underwear, some ass. And a huge FU to every ass**le out there who thinks that ‘liberating’ another country warrants hate, threats and wishes of death to the very PEOPLE you are trying liberate.
