How can we live joyful lives?

What does that mean? What brings us joy? Is it a thing, a person, an experience, a state of being?
It would appear that what brings us each joy is personal, but there is a consistent theme with having the ability to access it readily and it has to do with embodying the essence of joy.

What does that mean or even look like? It’s a choice that’s tied to the lens we see life through, with gratitude being a prevailing factor. Any situation that is presented to us is an invitation to learn, feel and expand. Often the most expansive ones are the most painful. So how does one find joy in the struggle?

Perspective.

The spiritual journey or path of self discovery and growth can be arduous, but if there isn’t joy present, what’s the point? To exist in a state of joy doesn’t mean always being happy but is rather a disciplined focus on maintaining an intimate relationship with gratitude for life. We, humans, have many ideas about what’s good and bad, right and wrong, etc. and cause a lot of our own suffering through our rigidity around these ideals.

Life is a gift! To be human and witness the whole spectrum of our experiences is nothing short of magic. While flowing through the expansive pain and the elating peaks, attune to the centre line of joy.
Feel your joy! Feel joy for your joy!

May this feeling be the steadfast state of being which we endeavour to embody and our highest ambition. One which calls us to be deeply devoted to our growth and develop a safe space within to embark on, and continue with, the work of excavation and expansion to unearth our greatest authenticity, truth and beauty. Through this joyful devotion, may we lovingly step into the fire and melt away that which doesn’t serve our highest purpose.

May we celebrate pursuing our truest essence — our childlike joy. For it is in this innocence that the simplicity of the answers which we seek, reside.

May we enjoy the journey of reunion and reconnection with the wonder of our inner child — it will be the greatest gift we could ever give and receive.
