This year-long public engagement aims to hear from Singaporean workers on their needs and aspirations. The first phase invites the public to share their views through multiple ways. Based on this feedback, tripartite partners, IHLs and other organisations will develop recommendations on how to better support workers. NTUC will contribute these recommendations to the Forward SG exercise. In my National Day Message, I spoke about the cloudy and uncertain economic outlook. Beyond immediate fiscal measures to counter this, our long term response must be to transform and upgrade ourselves to become more productive. The Conversations are part of NTUC’s effort to continually refresh and strengthen its compact with workers, to provide all workers and their families with a bright future.
