8 years to get here. Remember there is no end point to a healthy body, because once you get there you still have to continue to maintain, that is why it is called a fitness journey and a healthy lifestyle.

Before it was social media it was regular media telling women to bend to whatever standards they saw as “the it body” for that season and it’s hard to not follow that trend, but in the last few years I’ve started focusing more on how my body FEELS not just how I look.

I had an unhealthy relationship with food in the past driven by societies praise of the thigh gap(never skinny enough!), then the Kim K BBL style (gotta have a tiny waist huge booty) and that pendulum swing really played into my issues with my mental health and gut health. I went through extremes of literally chewing up a snickers and spitting it into the trash because I was afraid of the extra calories and sugar to literally stuffing my face and eating myself sick to get my calories in then gained everywhere and felt awful.
But neither ways are good for my body, mind or spirit.

I decided I was going to love my body more in every stage, thin, lean, fit, thick.
ESPECIALLY in the last year, I have focused on the internal health of my body, healing my gut and have been showing more love to my body.
I still train hard but maybe not as heavy.
My goals are to be athletic and mobile and feel strong and healthy. I workout for me. I train for my future and love myself in every stage.
