Reverence and immense love-filled Mother's Day; to the Mothers passed, to the Mothers-to-be, to all the incredible new Mums, the wise Mothers leading the way, Grandmothers, Godmothers, and those incredible Mother figures in our lives. To the step Mums, foster Mums, and those painfully wanting to be Mums, to those that simply have a mum. We're all deeply touched by the incredible divine essence of the Mother, She is the very gift of all our lives. And although Todays not always a 'happy' one for everyone; riddled with grief and pain, it's also layered with immense gratitude, joy, and a love like nothing else. May we simply take a present moment today in reverence for the intricately layered yet truly miraculous marvel of the Mother and honor her, whoever she is to us, in whatever way feels most aligned. To me, that's lighting the special candle on my altar that was one of the candles at mum's funeral, that now sits under the beautifully golden framed painting that mum painted of 'the mother and child'. Putting fresh flowers in the house, her favorite kind. And walking in nature, as a way of bowing down to this Divine gift of life.. and deeply connecting with the essence of Mum.
