Today we bid a fond farewell to our “Lady Liberty!” 🗽

The thirty-foot “Replica of the Statue of Liberty” that has been on display near the Sculpture Garden behind the museum since 2006 will make the journey to her new home at the @nationalbuildingartscenter (NBAC) in St. Louis this week.

This is an exciting stage of a process that has been years in the making, due to the pandemic. We are happy to see Lady Liberty find a new home at the NBAC, which specializes in architectural fragments and artifacts and will be a fitting, new home that can accommodate its size and conservation needs.
