Confederation Bridge is eight miles long & specifically designed to break the ice that forms in the waters below by forcing it to crush under its own weight. It’s an ingenious piece of design but also a memorable way to approach Prince Edward Island, known as Canada's Food Island as well as being Canada's smallest province. I visited towards the end of last year & explored as many inlets, fishing villages & winding trails as I could in five days. I also had some of the best oysters I’ve ever eaten in a while. It was a good five days 🙌🏻
