Have you heard? Tate Britain has had a complete refresh! 🏛️ For the first time in ten years, the national collection of British art tells a new story, and we can't wait to share it with you. ✨

🎨 In our new displays you’ll discover over 800 artworks by over 350 artists, with women artists better represented than ever before and a wave of new-generation artists on the walls for the first time. 🖼️

We’ve been busy behind the scenes installing large-scale works made from unusual materials, including the eight tonnes of rice and two thousand flowers that make up Vong Phaophanit’s 'Neon Rice Field', to the glass and steel sculptures embedded with UV lights in Hamad Butt’s spectacular 'Transmission'. From old favourites to new friends, today's journey through the gallery paints a vibrant picture of Britain across 500 years of art.
