サラ・ポーリー監督による映画
“ Women Talking／ウーマン・トーキング 私たちの選択 ” を観て来た。
平和主義を掲げる、キリスト教アナバプテストの教派“メノナイト” の村で、2000年代に実際起こった事件を題材にした物語。( 途中までおとぎ話のような古～い時代の話かと勘違いしていました！！！)
極端な事象を、戯曲のように描いた物語ですが、冷静に考えると現代社会が抱える、根深い問題を象徴的にしているだけで、他人事では全くありません。
そのままとどまるか？／戦うか？／去るか？・・・
哲学的で大変考えさせられる映画です。ある意味とっても地味で難解で宗教的な作品ですが、恐ろしいほど絵が美しく, 俳優陣の演技は神がかっています。( 衣装も素晴らしい！)
しかし！！！最近 良い映画が多く、寝る時間なくて困ってます。この映画もオススメです。

I saw the film "Women Talking" directed by Sarah Polley.
The story is based on an actual incident that took place in the 2000s in a pacifist Anabaptist Mennonite village. ( I mistakenly thought it was a fairy tale from a bygone era until about halfway through!)
The story depicts extreme events as if it were a play, but when you think about it calmly, it is just a symbolic representation of the deep-rooted problems that modern society is facing, and not at all a story about someone else. Do we stay the same? / Fight? / Leave? It is a philosophical and thought-provoking film. In a way, it is a very simple, esoteric and religious film, but the pictures are extremely beautiful and the performances of the actors are divine. ( The costumes are also wonderful!)
There are so many good movies these days that I have no time to sleep. I recommend this movie too.
