First, when I thought what kind of artwork I should make for Joopiter. “Hasami Jaguar “ a figure I have been fond of for a long time which was displayed in my friend Hirota’s @hxsxk studio unfortunately broke because of an earthquake. This Jumbo size “ Hasami Jaguar “ is very hard to find and I never seen one before this broken one. I was sorry for him but on the bright side, I thought this could turn into a great opportunity. I thought that “Hasami Jaguar” The king of Japanese vintage vinyl toy perfectly fits for Pharrell‘s auction ! Hirota gave it to me without hesitation for the show ! Arigato Hirota san always supporting me ! This piece is based on my concept that healing a broken toy with a used skateboard. I believe sharing and understanding each other’s pain can interlock and create something beautiful. The original story of Hasami-Jaguar appears in Kamen Rider V3 was to detonate an atomic bomb in Tokyo called "Operation to destroy Tokyo". It's just a metaphor, but maybe it's time for Hasami-Jaguar to completely destroy and reset our standards.
