Join us for a night highlighting the 30th year of Future Fashion, an exhibition that showcases designs from the final-year ranges of top Australian students including Cate Caldis from TAFE NSW, Edwina Harding from Whitehouse Institute of Design, Holly Villagra from Torrens University/Billy Blue College of Design and Jason Clark from UTS. Future Fashion curator Glynis Jones who has curated the exhibition for the last 30 years will be hosting talks with this year's alumni. Join a panel with Cecilia Heffer who is a practice-based researcher specialising in contemporary lace as a practice-based researcher, Holly Villagra and Edwina Harding on sustainability and technology in evolution of fashion. Get creative and learn new skills with a handful of workshops from a techno life drawing with Jason Clark, a 3D paper design with Whitehouse Institute of Design, mindful felting with TAFE, eco dye textiles with Cate Caldis and an illustration boot camp with Torrens University. Explore the last three decades of the exhibition as archival footage and visuals are projected throughout the museum and enjoy music and drinks at the Powerhouse Late bar.
