Photos by @Thomas Peschak | A helicopter is key to getting to and around Colombia's Chiribiquete National Park, as the terrain is extremely rugged and difficult to traverse on foot. The largest protected area in the country, Chiribiquete is distinguished by its tepuis, tabletop peaks that rise abruptly from the rainforest. The region, with waterways that feed into the Amazon, is one of the world’s most biodiverse, sheltering many endemic species.
