Intense heat waves, torrential rain and flooding – we have heard and seen many reports of extreme weather globally in recent weeks. Last month, many places experienced their hottest month in recorded history.

We need to cooperate with international partners to tackle the climate crisis. Singapore too must do our part to reduce emissions. Despite our small size, our individual efforts matter in creating a more livable environment.

@msesingapore has recently concluded this year’s #GoGreenSG, a national movement to rally everyone to work towards a greener Singapore. Through the events and activities, I hope we have all learned how we can go green by making simple, individual lifestyle changes. These conscious habits will pave the way for a greener and more sustainable future for all Singaporeans. – LHL
