It has been designated as a Nationally Important Cultural Asset. The shrine has fascinating relics, like the oldest bell in Fukushima and a pot used for offerings that was designated an Important Cultural Property. 🙌 The site is also home to a towering ginkgo tree, estimated to be over 800 years old. Each autumn, the tree is lit up in the evenings for one week, a truly spectacular sight. 🤩 🎟️ There is an entry fee of 300 yen for adults and 200 yen for high school students. Discounts apply to groups of over 20 people. Middle school-aged children and younger can enter for free. 🗓️ For reference: Last year's light-up event went from November 15th to November 22nd. This year's dates have not been announced yet. ℹ️ You can go to the Shingu Kumano Shrine Nagatoko within 10 minutes by car or taxi from Kitakata Station, but there is no way to access it using public transportation.
