Glad to welcome Canadian PM @justinpjtrudeau to Singapore today. We reaffirmed the warm friendship between our countries, and had a good discussion on international developments and bilateral relations. I am pleased to note our growing cooperation in areas ranging from cybersecurity to people-to-people exchanges.

I also congratulated PM Trudeau on the upgrading of ASEAN-Canada relations to a Strategic Partnership a few days ago at the ASEAN Summit in Jakarta. Singapore welcomes Canada’s engagement with the region and we look forward to closer cooperation. – LHL
