This 1915 Edwardian in San Francisco basically had it all: grandly-scaled interiors, period details, and stately neighbors. Personality, however, was sorely lacking. Enter local firm Homework (@homeworkdesignshop), a design studio helmed by husband and wife duo Susan and Ben Work. “She wanted the spaces to spark joy and be something that she’d never seen before,” says Ben of the client. They proceeded to inject the house with luxurious touches and artful surprises. Here, the dreamy living room is crowned by an ethereal painted ceiling by local decorative artist @caroline_lizarraga “Sometimes she has her three-year-old on her hip while she does this,” Susan adds.
