The ryokan, or traditional Japanese inn, was a major point of departure for this Park City, Utah ski house; each hospitality ritual adds an experiential layer to the design. “It was important for it to feel like a real getaway,” says Stephanie Luk, director of interiors for Electric Bowery (@electricbowery). Here, in a bathroom off a study, the design team incorporated dark, stained timber and clad the vanity in autumn-colored handcrafted tiles from @filmoreclark. Adds Electric Bowery senior associate Daniella Gohari, “Every surface in the house was considered.”
