We can slip behind the curtain to see what happens when humans aren’t around and the animals go about their daily lives. A camera trap left in the field for a year or more also gives us a glimpse of changes with the seasons. Perhaps the hardest part of camera trapping is scouting locations, which requires spending hours and days crisscrossing the landscape to look for clues left by animals.
