Houses, like people, deserve a second chance. And this 9,000-square-foot Tudor Revival mansion got the crème de la crème of makeovers by the high priestess of Hollywood luxe: Kelly Wearstler (@ケリーウェアスラー). The project team, which included the architecture firm Lorne Rose (@lornerosearch), converted the historic Toronto home into a whimsy-inflected wonderland that stuns with its low-key glamour. “The house has an old soul, and we gave it a new spirit,” Wearstler says of the change. In the bedroom, the team crafted a low-to-the-ground primary bed whose headboard stretches well beyond the width of the mattress. It’s modern, it’s warm, and it’s everything we would want to wake up to each day.
