Herrman, an art director for the U.S. Postal Service for more than 15 years. Herrman designed more than 50 stamps and directed more than 400 stamp issues. This postage stamp was issued in 1998 and depicts what is considered to be the first World Series in 1903. In this best of nine baseball game series, the American League champions, the Boston Americans, beat the National League champions, the Pittsburgh Pirates.
