Forever living by the quote ‘don’t save things for a special occasion, every day of your life is a special occasion.’ I didn’t always - I used to hold onto things for ages, would avoid wearing a dress I loved because there wasn’t enough of ‘an occasion’, would store away sentimental jewelry for maybe a few nights out of the year, would display a candle (but never light it) believing that it had to be saved for ‘someday’ in the future. But there’s something so beautiful about letting go of that mentality of ‘not now, later’, and realizing that I can enjoy the things I love simply because I love them.

And so I put on the dress that I originally intended for some grand evening out, the lipstick I once thought only to save for parties, and I lit these candles to color my evening with a romantic glow. They’re handcrafted in France by Carrière Frères with the most beautiful scents. The tapers come in cedar, jasmine, spearmint, and tomato and the jar has the most gorgeous combination of winter rose and Siberian pine.
