Lots more to follow and here is the Press release : In collaboration with Andrew Bolton, Nick Knight and SHOWstudio will lend their distinct vision to Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Spring 2024 Costume Institute exhibition, of which Nick Knight is the Creative Consultant. The landmark exhibition will reawaken rare historical garments and rarefied contemporary fashions, affording visitors sensorial ‘access’ via various technological activations developed and realised by Nick Knight and SHOWstudio, from cutting-edge tools, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and computer-generated imagery to traditional formats of x-rays, video animation, light projection, and soundscapes. For example, the walls of one gallery will be embossed with the foliate, vegetal, and insectoid embroidery of an Elizabethan bodice, and in another, a Hitchcockian swarm of black birds encircle a black tulle evening dress designed by Madeleine Vionnet just before the outbreak of World War II.
