"Something about this iconic structure always captured my imagination," he says. "It's always been a powerful symbol to me of all the possibilities in life."

Leto has been climbing for years, appearing in the National Geographic film "Free Solo," and he featured climbers Alex Honnold, me, and others in his "Great Wide Open" film series about climbing in our national parks.
