So thank you to everyone who has supported me and listened and shared your own stories. 💭 This album brought all of my emotions to the forefront. Even a year after the album was completely DONE; I’d try to work on it or listen down and brainstorm ideas, but the grief would hit so hard I’d feel it ALL until I felt numb. But with pain comes healing. This album is no light journey.. it’s my soul and tragedy in its most vulnerable moments captured into something that hopefully can transform your own pain and grief. This album is different because - it was for me. I wrote every song - for me, through all my broken pieces. But it’s also for any walking the all to familiar foreign journey. It’s not easy, but with time, it becomes bearable. I’m so proud that this is out, that I can say I did it, when there were many times I wanted to call it or postpone it til I felt more ready. So afraid of it being different or too personal or not “main stream” enough. But it is the most pure piece of art I’ve ever created. Which is terrifying haha.. but I’m so relieved, and thankful, and excited.
