Childhood cancer is the number one killer of children under 15 years of age and yet receives less than 3% of cancer research funding. The Foundation was created to address this shortfall through donations to UK institutions that can advance prevention, early diagnosis and the availability of new treatments for childhood cancer, while at the same time raising awareness and campaigning for change with community, government and health organisations. As well as this, through its donations, the Foundation funds individual treatment for children when treatment is not covered by the NHS.
