Because despite it being really common - like REALLY common, it’s still something that is very taboo to talk about.❤️🫶 I was really surprised to learn that 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men experience incontinence. I’d always assumed that not only was it uncommon, but that it was more of a women’s issue. It has actually made me feel much less alone to learn it was something lots of us experience. And so I’ve teamed up with TENA to break down the taboo and get people talking. Together we want to #EndBladderShame because we don’t have to suffer in silence. Because it’s taboo I feel like there’s so many wrong assumptions about it, like for example that it’s something that we just have to put up with - especially after childbirth - and that’s just not true.  There are so many things we can do to help and prevent it. 🫶❤️ Incontinence is obviously physical, but it also impacted me mentally and I remember losing so much confidence after childbirth. It was lockdown, all the public loos were closed, and even going to the park felt like a really big thing. I was embarrassed and ashamed. And then I felt angry that I felt like that when I was recovering from childbirth.  So I pushed through my embarrassment and sought help.  Here’s some things that have helped me to recover and find confidence in my body again: ✨ Speak to a doctor.  ✨Share what you’re going through with someone you love so you’re not on your own. I obviously always open up to you guys about the childbirth recovery and it always makes me realise I’m not alone.  ✨Know that there are products out there to help you.
