@Jordan has sent multiple cease and desist letters to a Colorado business owner for trademark infringement utilizing a similar logo to the Jumpman.
Skimann LLC owner Stephen Fucik created a clothing brand for winter sports enthusiasts, filing for an official trademark at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in 2020. Over time, after the local business had made a name for itself through online sales, Nike sent a “voluntarily cancel” letter over his trademark.
Fucik insists he had no intention of infringing on Nike's trademark stating: "I don't know how they found out about me. "I know they have a team of lawyers that this is what they do is peruse the internet, and look up, you know, small businesses."
Fucik has attempted to negotiate with Nike but has not heard back. He has no plans to give up his logo.
