In order for me to be the best version of myself and the most present Mum to my girls I really need some time alone. I use that time to work on myself (physically and mentally) anything that’s leaving me with my thoughts.

I really loved this audio about the importance of solitude and embracing our emotions. It really emphasised the value of being comfortable in our own company and understanding our inner selves 💗

Hands up if you’re guilty of spending your ‘alone time’ (if you manage to find some) either mindlessly scrolling on your phone or watching Netflix? 🙋🏼‍♀️ 🙋🏼‍♀️

I know it can be hard to find time alone, particularly for parents who are constantly juggling responsibilities. However, I’ve discovered that even brief periods of alone time can be incredibly therapeutic. Whether it’s a quick five-minute pause on the sofa during nap time (the washing up isn’t going anywhere!) a walk after school drop off, and I know a lot of people who wake up before the rest of the house to get a few moments for themselves.
