In all my years, I can recall having a migraine ONCE on Christmas Day. This goes against pretty much everything any nosy layperson will ever tell you about your migraines. They'll tell you not to stray from your routine, not to stray from your diet, not to stray from your sleep schedule, not to stray from your state of emotional equilibrium. Don't get too excited! Don't get too anything! Exist in shades of grey! Don't you know your triggers yet? What caused this one? What did you DO?
This morning I woke up before the sun to that familiar throbbing and am hoping with all my bruised and battered hope that it will not last its usual 72 hours.
Don't swallow up my Christmas.
Please.
