The fire was tragic and overexposed by the people who held their smartphones and sharing it through social media. For the ones who live here it’s such a tragedy cause this church is the witness of humanity from 1163. It took almost 300 years to build this cathedral and the fire burnt the roof and the spire that fell to the ground. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ What I don’t understand is how the people were in rage when some billionaires and rich people gave their money for Notre-Dame renovation. They started to compare with other things that irrelevant. Of course this one got lots of exposure because it is an art and heritage of the world that watched the humanity for 800 years and situated in Paris, France capital, in the middle of city where everyone holds a mobile phone. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Of course it seems unfair when there are lots of other things that need more help but should we compare? ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ It breaks my heart when I finally saw this in person after the fire. From this angle it looks pretty much the same but once you walk more to the other side of the church, you’ll see how bad the condition is. Especially the structure is very fragile and i guess it will take years and years until it fully recover. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ So for a while, this is a shot of Notre-Dame de Paris in renovation, January 2020.
