It took so much control and energy to perform, and literal blood sweat and tears to learn. To create the entire atmosphere I was envisioning I collaborated with some of my good friends to make the world I wanted to share with the audience. I fell in love with this piece of music when I was in Australia in 2015 and knew I had to do something with it. I wanted a very contemporary and intricate style so I enlisted Benoit to make the perfect choreography. I wanted the costume to be different from anything I had seen in skating. I wanted elements of leather and metal. I wanted a skirt and a slight feeling of bondage, but I wanted to conceal my identity so the audience was focused completely on the skating and not on the skater. I knew Brady would be perfect for making my idea come to life. Just a small look into what the creation of a piece like this takes to go from an idea into a fully realized image.
