What is art's role during a time of crisis? “The truth is, when I’m in a crisis, art is very powerful for me,” @mirandajuly says. “A song can be my saving grace because it’s so important to have your feelings come out and to feel something.” She adds that, yes, our nation needs real, systemic changes to happen, but you can also want to make art or enjoy art—it doesn’t have to be one or the other.
