72 years ago, the ship HMT Empire #Windrush arrived in London carrying approximately 500 passengers from Caribbean countries. Today we commemorate the ship’s arrival and celebrate the contribution of the Windrush generation, many of whom travelled to Britain as a response to post-war labour shortages in the UK.
