I often say that joy is an act of resistance, but so too is hope. Here is the truth:

This election is the most consequential election of our lifetime and we face an uphill battle. But unprecedented times call for unprecedented organizing.

The work that lies ahead will not be easy, but it is both necessary and possible.

The role you play as a voter, educator and organizer will be key to our success in November and the preservation of democracy overall.

That Work will require unprecedented coordination, unprecedented strategy, and unprecedented hope.

We must ensure our friends, family and neighbors have, not only registered to vote, but requested their mail in ballot or made a plan to vote in person on election day.

We must take every opportunity we get to talk about the importance of this election and the political possibilities that lie beyond it.

And most importantly, we must commit ourselves to the discipline of being light and bringing joy and hope into every space and conversation we enter.

Each of us must do everything we can to engage folks in our community, to expand the electorate, and make clear the stakes in this election.
