To train and sacrifice, put in untold amounts of hours into being the best you can possibly be. Winning never comes easy, it is addictive but one of the hardest highs to achieve. We take it for granted watching World Cup climbers in action that the best will rise to the top (no pun intended), however nothing is a given, especially when you're one of the greats of the sport, used to the joys of victory, but can see another climber becoming ascendant! Two years ago today Korean legend @allezjain took victory in Kranj, on the home soil of her fierce competitor @janja_garnbret. And you could see how much it meant as she burst into tears on the news she had won. In third place, getting her first senior podium at World Cup level was @austriaclimbing star @schuberthannah, and getting a podium at World Cup level... That is a dream most climbers never get to see become reality.
